Super cool online stores

I have noticed that online store are so much more engaging that ever! they're really trying to deliver an experience for their virtue customers. They are a lot more interactive by ways of newsletter, profiling their inspiration customers, styling looks, competitions, graphics draws you in and the list goes on. Furthermore, because of their business model (lower cost with no brick and mortar lease, few staff etc ) has allowed them to be stock more adventurous designs and designers. This definitely gives them an edge over traditional retailers and a niche market whom are online savy and knows how to google. check out some super cool online stores: ln-cc.com mrporter.com oki-ni.com antonioli.eu

I want one

Deviating from fashion for a minute to feature this awesome lamp.
Inspired by toy capsule from vending machine, this lamp is witty, clever and fun... and wonderfully designed. The main structure of this ceiling pendant is made of stained oak, and either without the capsules, or with just the empty capsules, it looks rather coolly Scandinavian. source: http://www.thecoolhunter.com.au/article/detail/2089/the-capsule-lamp

to tailor or not to tailor?

My collection has evolved to include strong tailoring elements in my suiting and shirting. The collection is also very graphic in its prints and colour combination reminiscent of streetwear (something i'm constantly drawn to) and i really want to marry the two in a chic and effortless way and i think Henrik Vibskov does this so well in his last few collections. Often features in his collection are drop crop, tapered pants, clashing prints, billowy jackets and blousy top with streetwear materials and styling. RAF SIMONS A/W Menswear Film

Still from Raf Simons A/W10 menswear film by Pierre Debusscere This film explores the idea of fragmentation and speed, important elements in this collection – psychologically for the Raf Simons man, and literally in the garments. Raf Simons time and time again has been an inspiration for me with his reinvention of tailoring and and menswear in general. source:http://www.anothermag.com/current/view/85/Menswear_AW10_Raf_Simons

Richard Haines Fashion Illustration

Richard Haines chronicling the men and boys he meet in New York City, through his fashion illustration blog. Its fun, its spontaneous and its humorous. I see his style on drawing very similar to my self as i tend to design on the bus, walking or anywhere when inspiration strikes me so they tend to be scribbles on jackets and shirts on notes or bus tickets !. check out more of his work!
