Fashion Award - LMFF

LMFF - Australia’s most prestigious fashion award. The Award encourages excellence within the Australian fashion industry, acknowledging designers in their first five years of business who excel in the following: creative design, fashion innovation, high quality manufacturing standards, unique style and the potential to contribute to the future growth of the Australian fashion industry. Past winners of the Award include Toni Maticevski, Josh Goot, Yeojin Bae, Romance Was Born, Dion Lee and in 2011, Song for the Mute.

Fashion Competition - The green competition

An initiative by Amsterdam International Fashion Week and the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs. The competition was launched in 2010 for both establsihed and emerging designers who want environmentslly consicous and want to work within the sustainablity framework in the industry. Mils, headed by Summy Lim, is a contemporary luxury menswear label providing clean and functional tailoring with minimal edgy aesthetics. This label caters to the body conscious man, with tight fitted tailored jackets, shirts and jumpsuit enveloping and highlighting the male form. Emerging Designer - INJURY- Eugene Leung

The man behind the Injury label is Sydney-based fashion designer Eugene Leung. The label is a ready to wear market and is inspired by creatures that lurk in the night. Moody, dark, gothic and unpredictable are all characteristics, which define this label and its philosophy. The label is characterize by its sculptural and graphic elements as a result from his architecture and graffiti background.

Emerging Designer - Orri Henrisson

Orri Henrisson is a high end menswear brand started by Henry Ng, which features bright colourful and whimsy menswear with a clean and classic aesthetic. He often uses contrast texture and fabric contained them within the classic and youthful silhouette. Ng set the label apart from other menswear labels by being playful with colour and texture and doesn’t like to take themselves to seriously.

Fernando Frisoni epitome label offers his signature androgynous tailoring and shape with avant –garde inspiration. He often works with neutral colors staying within the shades of white, black and grey. The label was conceived to meet the gap in menswear market – between Herringbone, conservative business designs to streetwear style of Ksubi.
